Lead Teacher
The Lead Teacher leads the classroom experience through a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, creating meaningful learning environments that respond to each child’s interests, needs, and development.They design and facilitate learning experiences, observe and document children’s processes, and foster curiosity, autonomy, creativity, and connection with nature. The role also includes building strong relationships with families, mentoring the Co-Teacher, and contributing to a collaborative school community.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood
• Education or a related field
• 3+ years of experience working with young children
• Advanced-intermediate English and excellent Spanish communication skills
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong communication, collaboration, creativity, leadership, and emotional self-regulation
• Comfortable working outdoors and actively engaging with children throughout the school day
Location: Mia Mia Preschool · On-site
Co- Teacher
The Co-Teacher works closely with the Lead Teacher to create a warm, engaging, and intentional learning environment.
Through observation and active participation, they support children’s learning, emotional well-being, autonomy, and development.
They help prepare learning environments, document children’s experiences, organize materials, and contribute ideas to classroom projects. The role also involves maintaining strong communication with families and supporting a collaborative, respectful school community.
Requirements
• High school diploma; studies in Education or a related field are a plus
• 1+ year of experience in an educational or childcare setting
• Excellent Spanish communication skills; basic English is a plus
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong teamwork, communication, creativity, flexibility, and emotional self regulation
• Comfortable working outdoors and actively engaging with children throughout the school day
