Mariana Villarreal, with over 15 years of experience in the education industry across Australia 🇦🇺, Mexico🇲🇽 and the United States🇺🇸, is the driving force behind Mia Mia Preschool.
Throughout her career, Mariana has worked as a teacher, Preschool Director, and Director of Operations. She also founded a business offering Spanish immersion programs in elementary schools and childcare centers in Australia.
With a Bachelor of Educational Psychology and extensive certifications in childcare, Mariana ensures the highest standards of education and care are met every day at Mia Mia.

What are your tuition rates?
Annual Tuition is to be paid in eleven equal instalments. With the first payment due on August 1st each school year. The last month’s tuition is due upon registration, and subsequent payments are due the first of each month, August through May. Summer Camp will be available, with priority access given to our enrolled families.

What does Mia Mia offer that is different to other preschools?
Our unique approach to early learning goes beyond education to encompass the total health, wellbeing and social development of your child in our care. We see your child as an individual and you and your family members as a partner to provide the best learning environment for your son or daughter.
Additionally, Mia Mia is situated in a 5-acre fenced property surrounded by trees and birds where your child will be able to connect with nature. There are many areas to explore including our library, art atelier, community garden and farm animals. We are blessed to be located in such a beautiful environment were your child will naturally grow cherishing nature and the wellness it offers.
What are your operating hours?
We offer a full-day program running from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, with an extended-hours option available from drop-off at 7:30 am and pick-up until 5:00 pm, including an Afternoon Enrichment program.
The Afternoon Enrichment program has different themes, depending on the day of the week. We share the weekly Enrichment program each Friday for the upcoming week.

How does Mia Mia work with the community and families to deliver the best learning environment?
We recognize family members as the first and most influential teacher in a child’s life. We understand the importance of building a strong relationship with you and our community. We establish these partnerships through active, two-way communication with you to meet your child’s unique needs, understand their personality and interests. Getting to know you and your child for who they are will allow us to guide their learning experience in alignment with what they love to do.
Keeping you informed about your child’s development is very important to us. You can stay close and connected to your little one via our customized APP, receiving daily stories and photos directly to your device. You will also have opportunities to be part of Mia Mia’s community events and engage in parent-teacher conferences and workshops.
How does your school readiness program prepare children for school?
Our school readiness program begins the moment your child enters our preschool. Building your child’s confidence, sense of belonging, problem solving skills, creativity, and collaboration is essential to us and to the program we offer from the start.
Your child will have many opportunities to engage with literacy and numeracy, which will be built-upon and extended as they progress. In the final preschool years, we offer a dedicated Transition to School Program for your child. This program is delivered by a university-trained teacher in consultation with local elementary schools, focusing on extending your child’s social and emotional skills to build solid foundations for school.
Your child will enhance their confidence and resilience, become familiar with school routines, learn to work in teams, develop independence, and much more.
