Quick Description:
We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Educational & Curriculum Mentor to support the continued growth and excellence of our educational program at Mia Mia Lakeway.
This leadership position focuses on mentoring educators, strengthening curriculum development, and ensuring that our classrooms reflect the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach and the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
The position offers part-time or full-time opportunities, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor, coach, and inspire teachers in curriculum planning, implementation, and reflection.
- Support the development of meaningful, inquiry-based projects inspired by children’s interests.
- Guide educators in pedagogical documentation, learning environments, and intentional teaching practices.
- Promote high-quality educational practices aligned with Mia Mia’s philosophy.
- Collaborate with the Campus Director and leadership team to support continuous professional growth.
- Facilitate teacher development, classroom observations, and reflective discussions.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, collaboration, and educational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with the Reggio Emilia approach.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience serving on a school leadership team.
- Professional experience in early childhood education and curriculum development.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting educators.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- A deep understanding of child-centered, inquiry-based education.
